National Insurance Nepal is Foreign branch of National Insurance Company Limited (India), which is public sector non-life insurance company regulated by Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The journey started in Nepal in 1959 as Rubi General Insurance & Hindustan General Insurance. After Nationalization of insurance companies in India in 1972, 32 insurance companies merged into one and started operating as National insurance company limited. National insurance, Nepal being the foreign branch has a very strong support from its parent organization in terms of highly qualified professionals having vast experience which in-turn help us to provide better customer service. The topmost position i.e. CEO and DCEO is deputed from India and other employees are recruited locally. We have a good retention capacity which reduces our dependence on reinsurance companies thereby resulting in speedy claim settlement. Presently we have an investment base of more than 200 crore.
