Chairman-cum-Managing Director

Smt. Rajeshwari Singh Muni, DIN 09794972 has taken charge as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of National Insurance Company Limited on 1st September 2023. Prior to taking charge as CMD, she was General Manager & Director of United India Insurance Company Limited w.e.f. 18th November 2022. She is a Science Graduate and also holds MBA (HR and Finance) and Associate from Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

She commenced her career at General Insurance Corporation of India in the year 1987 and moved to Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited (AICL) in 2004. She has 35 years of experience and expertise in dealing Crop Insurance in various capacities. A long part of which was heading the agriculturally predominant States of Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Madhya Pradesh as Regional Manager and also overseeing of all the five Southern States as Deputy General Manager. Upon elevation as General Manager in the year 2019, she handled various portfolios at AICL, Head Office at New Delhi and performed exceedingly well in all spheres.

She is a keen learner coupled with traits of sincerity, honesty, dedication, commitment which have been the key to her success in reaching the heights. Her strength is her straight forward way in dealing with various stakeholders and has created a remarkable impact. She is a great leader, true motivator and role model for all the team members working under her commanded tremendous respect for her empathic attitude and humane touch with team members.

Government Nominee Director

Smt. Mandakini Balodhi is serving as Director (Insurance), Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services since December 2021. She has joined the Board of National Insurance Company Limited on 16th August 2024.

She holds a Post Graduate degree in English and is a Fellow Member of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai. She has held the post of Government Nominee Director in The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. for more than two years.

Prior to joining the Ministry, she was with Oriental Insurance Company Limited for 25 years handling all aspects of applications transversing channels, products and segments of General Insurance designing customized turn-key solutions across sectors & industries. She has been recognized consistently for performance excellence and contribution to organizational success.

Director

Shri Debadatta Chand, DIN: 07899346 Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Baroda has joined the Board of National Insurance Company Limited as a Non-Executive & Independent Director on 1st July 2023. Shri Debadatta Chand was appointed as Managing Director & CEO of Bank of Baroda on 1st July 2023 and he has over 29 years of vast experience in banking & financial services industry.

Prior to his appointment as MD & CEO, Shri Chand served as the Executive Director at Bank of Baroda where he was overseeing Corporate & Institutional Credit, Corporate & Institutional Banking, Treasury & Global markets, Mid-Corporate Business and Trade & Foreign Exchange. In addition, he had also successfully overseen the International Banking Business, Domestic Subsidiaries/Joint Ventures, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, NRI Business as well as key platform functions such as HRM, Finance & Planning, Risk Management, Audit & Inspection, Credit Monitoring, Collections, Legal, Compliance, Learning & Development, Disciplinary Proceedings, Information Security and Estate Management & Security at the Bank.

Shri Chand began his career in 1994 as an Officer at Allahabad Bank and later worked as a Manager at the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) from 1998 to 2005. In 2005, he joined Punjab National Bank (PNB) as Chief Manager and steadily progressed to the position of Chief General Manager. During his over 15-year tenure at PNB, he held various roles, including Head of the Zonal Audit Office in Patna, Circle Head of the Bareilly Region, Head of Integrated Treasury Operations, and Head of the Mumbai Zone.

Shri Chand also currently serves on the Boards of BOB Capital Markets Ltd., India Infradebt Limited, Baroda Financial Solutions Limited, Bank of Baroda (Tanzania) Ltd., Bank of Baroda (Uganda) Ltd. and Bank of Baroda (Kenya) Ltd. Previously, he served on the Boards of PNB Principal Mutual Fund and SWIFT India Pvt. Ltd. as nominee director of Punjab National Bank.

He holds a B.Tech. degree, an MBA, and CAIIB qualification. Additionally, Shri Chand has a PG Diploma in Equity Research and is a Certified Portfolio Manager.

Shri Satya Brata Dass, DIN 09448325, joined the Board of National Insurance Company Limited as Independent Director on 21st December 2021. He is a Chartered Accountant having immense exposure in various fields such as Agriculture, rural economy, banking, co-operation, economics, finance, law, marketing, small scale industry and information technology.

Shri Dass worked as a Team Leader in Multi National Company as Practicing Chartered Accountant since 2006 having Head Office at Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Island. A Chartered Accountant by profession with around 18 years of successful practice with clientele of various lines of business including assignments given by C&AG. The Firm has been assigned with the task of Andaman Nicobar Administration for Audit of various Ministerial Fund of the Government of India. The Firm is located at isolated Remote Island which is trying hard to educate & guild clients to growth path.

Presently, he is serving as a Partner of M/s. Satya Sudhindran & Co., Chartered Accountant at Port Blair, South Andaman.
